In the recent years there has been a positive trend in the piscivorous trout stock in several norwegian lakes. The catch-reports from Lake Mjøsa show a significant increase in catch per effort from the early nineties until today. Our tours last from 4-8 hours and start off at Brumunddal, Hamar or Gjøvik. In May-July we strongly recommend the traditional night fishing for piscivorous trout who then feeds on smelt that gathers on specific spawnings sites along the shores. October-November when the water is getting colder again, is another great time to go fishing for trout. This period the trout feeds on herring on their spawn run to River Gudbrandsdalslågen.
