TrollingAdventure offers tours to both private and companies who seek fishing adventures from boat. Our regular start points are on one of our big lakes, Mjøsa or Randsfjorden. However we can trail our boats other places if needed. Together with our partners we also offer transportation, accomodation, dining and entertainment.
In contrast to regular trolling, modern trolling with technical equipment is much more efficient and enhances the presentation of the bait. The equipment we use is planer boards, downriggers, sonar and GPS-maps.
A planer board works in principle like an otter board, but it has the lines attached with clips that releases when the fish takes the bait. This way we are able drill the fish directly on the rod behind the boat and continue fishing with the other baits. The boats have riggs with a capacity of 10 rods simultaneously.
A downrigger is a small crane wich controls a plumb of four to seven kilos. On the wire clips attaches the line from the rod and lowered to the prefered fishing depth. It is possible to use several rods on the same downrigger, by using multiple clips called stackers on the wire. The clips releases when the fish takes the bait and the fish can be drilled directly on the rod, just like with the planer board.
The sonar is an important tool to determine the depth, formation of the bottom terrain, vegetation and fish shoals. It will also signalize the size of the fish in the area. The sonar is used to find areas with bait fish and to evaluate how deep we should fish with the downriggers.
The GPS-mapper automatically displays your position on an electronic map. Each step of the way can be marked on the map, and good fishing spots can easily be relocated if wanted.
Besides trolling, our guides and biologists can allso arrange other nature adventures for you or your company. We have experience in nature based activities for both young and old. Contact us and let us know what would like! |
